Music Studio Terms of Service
At our music studio, we strive to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for learning, creating, and recording music in all its forms. In order to ensure the best experience possible, we’ve created this Terms of Service page which outlines the rules that all visitors must abide by when participating in activities at our music studio.
We ask that all participants respect the studio’s premises and equipment. This includes being mindful of noise levels while on-site and not destroying or damaging any property. Our staff reserves the right to remove anyone who is found engaging in disruptive behavior or violating these terms of service.
When visiting our facility, it is important that you follow instructions from staff members and respect their authority. All visitors must comply with instructions given by a member of our team during your time at the studio, including any requests for volume control or leaving the premises at closing time.
Due to the nature of the activities taking place at our studio, no minors may enter without a parent or guardian present. We require that minors be supervised by an adult 18 years or older throughout their visit to ensure safety and security for everyone involved. Any unaccompanied minors will be asked to leave immediately without refund.
We also ask that all visitors respect copyright laws when using materials provided by us as part of their services here at our music studio. We do not permit any form of plagiarism or copyright infringement in our facility and violators may face criminal prosecution depending on severity of the offense.
Finally, we reserve the right to update these terms of service at any time without notice if deemed necessary by us in order to maintain optimum customer experience at our music studio. Please refer back often as changes may occur frequently and are binding once posted here on this page.

Music Lessons Terms of Service
Lessons:
Lessons will be held over Zoom at the agreed upon weekly lesson time. With no long-term contracts or commitments, students can learn an instrument from the comfort of their own home. Depending on the lesson type, students must have a the necessary instruments to take the lessons. i.e. students taking piano lessons must have a piano.
Payment:
Music By Mattie will send out payments for the month of lessons on the first of every month. This monthly payment covers four lessons. On months with a 5th lesson in a month, a separate charge will be sent for that lesson.
Late Payments:
The music instructor’s career depends on tuition payments to keep the lessons going. To ensure each month goes smoothly and your teacher is paid, please make sure that you pay your tuition as soon as possible every month. If Music by Mattie has not received a payment for a lesson 14 days after the 1st of the month, we will discontinue or terminate services until payment has been received in full.
Tardiness:
If a student fails to arrive at their appointed lesson time, teachers will only wait 10 minutes before departing – and any missed time won’t be made up. On the contrary though, if it’s the teacher who is late then that time will be rescheduled and a bonus credit time will be applied to the lesson for free.
Make-Up Lessons:
If a student needs to cancel or move their lesson time for any reason, they must contact the staff at least 48 hours prior to their lesson! For any cancellations or lesson rescheduling, please contact your teacher directly.
Be aware that missed and/or cancelled makeup sessions cannot be made up later on – so don’t forget! If it is necessary for a TEACHER cancellation, they will offer either an extra session or granting you a lesson credit instead – no need to worry there! Lastly note that tardiness won’t result in added time onto the end of your lesson.
Emergency Cancelations:
In the event of an emergency, students can request to make up their cancelled lesson; however, teachers have sole discretion and may deny any makeup requests deemed as abusive. Students must provide at least 24 hours notice beforehand in order for a teacher to guarantee granting them with a rescheduled session, but all consideration and emergencies will be considered and handled separately!
Concerts:
Though lessons are online, concerts will be held in the Denver Area at least once a year. Performances are completely optional for the students and will be planned out at least 4 weeks in advance. Many students in the Music By Mattie program are from around the area and this is a great opportunity to gain confidence in performing!
Student Breaks:
If students want to take a break in the program, their spot can be held for up to 5 weeks! After 5 weeks have passed, there is no guarantee that their instructor or their old time slot will still be available to them.
We require a 24 hour minimum notice before any breaks! This is a good option for kids going on vacation in the summer!
Parental Involvement:
Parents, your support is essential in helping create musical stars! Showing a genuine interest in your child’s learning shouldn’t stop at encouraging words – be sure to help them follow their teacher’s direction and practice regularly. Remember that patience with expectations goes far; it could mean the difference between an average student and one destined for greatness!
Termination:
Music By Mattie allows students the freedom to discontinue their lessons at any time, with a two-week paid notice. Students can either opt for taking those full two weeks of classes or paying for them then ending immediately instead.
In the event that it’s an instructor who chooses to end their services, another will be provided to avoid interruption of learning. New instructors are promptly assigned in order maintain continuity and honor our commitment towards each student’s musical development!
Courses and E-Commerce Terms of Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any user account that violates any of these terms without notice at any time. User Accounts: All users must create an account in order to access our website or purchase any of our courses. Your account is for personal use only and should not be shared with anyone else. We will not be liable for any losses caused by unauthorized use of your account if it is used by someone else without your permission. You are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your user password and other account information at all times.
Security: The security of your personal data is important to us and we take commercially reasonable measures to protect it from unauthorized access or disclosure, including encrypting your data when it is transmitted over the internet using Secure Socket Layer (SSL). However, no system can ever be completely secure and we cannot guarantee 100% security for your data on our website or during purchase transactions over the internet. You agree that you will not hold us liable for any unauthorized access to your data resulting from third party activities such as hacking, viruses, etc., beyond what is reasonably within our control.
Payment Processing: When you make a purchase on E-commerce and Courses, payments are processed by trusted third-party payment processing services such as PayPal or Stripe. You must agree to their respective terms & conditions before making a payment transaction on our site and accept responsibility for all charges made using your payment method in connection with your E-commerce and Courses user account(s). We will not be held liable for losses resulting from fraudulent use of credit cards used in connection with purchases made through E-commerce & Courses’ websites/services/products.”
Privacy: Any information we collect from you when you visit Music By Mattie’s websites/services/products will always remain confidential within our network in accordance with applicable privacy laws around the world. We will never sell or share your personal information with third parties unless required by law enforcement requests or court orders; nor do we store credit card information in connection with purchases made through Music By Mattie’s websites/services/products outside of what is necessary for fraud protection purposes only.
Cancellations & Refunds: All purchases made through Music By Mattie are refundable up to 14 days after the day of purchase. After 14 days, items are non-refundable. Digital downloads may be returned for any reason/ In addition, refunds may also be available under certain circumstances depending upon which payment processor was used (e.g., Stripe) upon request after contacting customer service directly via email ([email protected])

Affiliate Marketing Terms of Service
When an affiliate link is clicked on an associated product page or other promotional material featuring Music By Mattie websites/services/products, a commission may be earned depending upon the agreement between us and the affiliate partner(s). We reserve the right to alter commission rates at any time without notice but will always disclose this information within each applicable affiliate agreement prior to signing up as an affiliate partner.
