Frequently Asked Questions

Our Kids Voice Lessons program is suitable for children aged 7-18. Depending on the individual child’s level of skill and experience, lessons will be adjusted accordingly. We also work with adults interested in bettering their singing skills!

Each lesson lasts approximately 30 minutes. This includes warm-up exercises, vocal technique drills and practice time with a coach. Additionally, other lesson length options are available for more serious students at 45 minutes and 60 minutes.

During our lessons, your child will learn essential vocal techniques such as correct breathing and posture, diction and articulation, tone production, and pitch matching. They will also learn how to interpret lyrics and express emotion through song, as well as developing their understanding of various music styles including classical, jazz, pop and musical theatre genres. Plus they’ll get plenty of performance practice!

Because our lessons are personalized for every student, we can also focus on the genre of music that’s most interesting to our students.

All that’s needed is a reliable internet connection and access to Zoom or Skype video conferencing. Depending on your child’s level of skill and experience they may need access to a piano or keyboard in order to practice their scales and exercises, but this isn’t required for all students. Our coaches are also available to help guide your child into learning which aspects require additional instruments.

Our coaches provide detailed feedback to help your child monitor and track their progress. This includes analyzing the vocal technique drills they have done during the lesson and highlighting areas in need of improvement. At the end of each term, parents receive a comprehensive report with an assessment of their child’s overall performance and progress. This can be used as a benchmark to measure future improvements and set goals for continued growth.

Yes! All students enrolled in our online voice lessons are given access to various music theory exercises, practice tracks, and backing tracks to use for practice purposes. Your child’s coach will also provide helpful tips and advice on how to improve vocal technique during their regular practice sessions.
